Katie Fahey’s Rebellion:

From a family of agrarian activists, Katie Fahy was secretary of the Craughwell branch of Cumann na mBan. John Nelly, master of Gort Workhouse, was a cultural revivalist and an Irish Volunteer. This lecture will discuss their involvement in the Galway Rising, their courtship and marriage, and their subsequent travails.

Dr John Cunningham is a lecturer at NUI Galway. He is the author of a number of books on Irish local history and labour history.
