Cormac Cannon, son of Kathleen Loughnane also performing at the Sessions, is one of a fabulous group of up and coming young pipers in Ireland today. Learning music from an early age, his early influences include Galway resident pipers Eammon O’Broithe and Tommy Keane. He has avidly imbibed the techniques, styles and tune settings from recordings of the old masters Seamus Ennis and Willie Clancy. He is no stranger to Scotland having recently spent a number of years at college in Edinburgh.
